Lk.6:38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
John Haggai said that “Giving is the highest barometer of our spirituality.” The Christian faith demands that we love God and love one another. Love gives. Giving is therefore an integral part of our faith. Dawson therefore tells that “it is not an accident that seventeen of the thirty-six parables of our Lord had to do with property and stewardship.”
Denison also says that “Christian giving is God’s divine plan to make us like Himself; it reveals our religion and bares our souls; it is prophetic and has to do with the inner sensitiveness and gives a keener vision to His work and plans.”
Graham also says, “God has given us two hands – one to receive with and the other to give with. We are not cisterns made for hoarding; we are channels made for sharing.”
